Important Notice for Print-on-Demand (Made-to-Order) Purchases
Every Black Scowl item is manufactured on-demand, meaning it is created specifically for you after your order is placed. This practice helps reduce overproduction and waste but means our return policy is strict.
We only offer refunds or replacements under the conditions outlined in this policy.
Valid Reasons for Refund or Replacement
Since products are custom-made through our fulfillment partners, we can only accept refund or replacement requests in the following cases:
- Damaged or Defective Item: The product arrived with a manufacturing defect, is broken, or the print is visibly damaged or stained.
- Fulfillment Error: You received the wrong item (e.g., you ordered size L and received M), or the wrong design was used.
- Package Lost in Transit: The package was marked as lost by the shipping carrier (subject to verification by the shipping company).
Exclusions (Reasons Not Valid for Return)
Black Scowl does not offer refunds or replacements for:
- Sizing or “Fit” Issues: We do not accept returns if the customer selected an incorrect size. All sizing charts are available in the product description. The customer is responsible for consulting the size guide before making a purchase.
- Buyer’s Remorse: If the customer simply changes their mind and no longer wants the item.
- Incorrect Address Supplied by the Customer: If a package is returned to our facility due to an incorrect shipping address provided by the customer, reshipment will be at the customer’s expense.
Return and Replacement Process (For Valid Errors Only)
If your item qualifies under the valid reasons above, please follow this process:
- Damage Notification: You must contact us within 14 calendar days of receiving your order.
- Evidence Requirement: Send an email to contacto@blackscowl.com and attach clear photos of the following:
- The product’s defect or damage.
- The shipping label clearly showing the tracking number and address.
- Inspection and Resolution: Once we receive the photographic evidence, we will review it and, if the production error is confirmed, we will contact our fulfillment partner (Printful) to order a replacement at no extra cost to you.
- Returning the Defective Item: In most Print-on-Demand cases, you will not be asked to return the damaged item. We will simply process the replacement.
Refund Process
Refunds are only processed if a replacement cannot be sent.
- Timeline: Refunds will be processed within 7 business days after we have confirmed the item is defective or lost.
- Method: The money will be credited back to your original payment method.
